Improving safety in meat processing with faster stopping capability, bigger cuts, and smarter protection
Deerlijk, Belgium – 3 April 2025 – Scott Technology, a global leader in automation and robotics, will unveil a breakthrough in bandsaw safety at IFFA 2025, the world’s leading meat processing trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany. The next-generation BladeStop™ safety bandsaw - engineered to deliver even faster stopping speeds and greater cutting capacity - will be revealed on 3 May at 11:00am, at Hall 11.0, Booth F18.

Building on the success of BladeStop - originally developed in partnership with Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) - this next evolution reinforces Scott’s leadership in delivering smarter, safer automation for the global meat industry. Already recognised for its industry-leading stopping capability of under 10 milliseconds, the new BladeStop safety bandsaw promises to take another significant step forward - offering even faster stopping times, enhanced sensor technology, a bold new design, and significantly expanded cutting capacity.
