Scott Technology advised that the unaudited consolidated profit after tax for
the 6 months ended 29/02/2000 was $1.553m. This result is an increase of
17.2% compared to the previous corresponding half year of $1.325m. Scott
Technology group sales for the 6 months of $14.797, were up 13.7% on the
previous corresponding half year. The sales growth reflects the company's
additional production capacity and larger projects. These financial results
include provision for the previously advised interim dividend of 4.5cps,
which is consistent with the interim dividend provided for in 1999. As
previously advised, this dividend is payable on 30/03/2000 and is fully
imputed with a supplementary dividend to apply to overseas shareholders.
The company is currently completing major contracts for clients in Poland,
U.S.A., Mexico and South America, including some of the most technologically
advanced systems ever developed by Scotts. Scott Technology continues to
lead in its field and plans to strengthen its position and further develop
its technological capabilities.
