Health and Safety
Scott Technology group of companies is committed to providing and maintaining an environment and system of work that is safe and without undue risk to all workers and others. Under NZ legislation Scott is a "Person conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU)". We maintain the highest level of accreditation (Tertiary qualified) under the ACC Workplace Safety Management Practises- WSMP.
At Scott, we have a well established Health and Safety management systems and processes functioning actively in the work place and fully supported by senior management. Our processes and documents are reviewed and audited on regular basis as part of our continuous improvement program Lean six sigma.
We take Health and Safety seriously and have dedicated Health and safety coordinators on each site, fully supported and kept well informed with the legislation and law changes.
We have in house competency based training program that utilises both in-house expertise and external certified trainers to ensure our staff are safe to operate in our workshop and on customer sites.
PROGRAMS AND ACCREDITATION
- Workplace Safety Management Practises-Tertiary accreditation. NZ operation
- Corporate social responsibility CSR- GOLD status accreditation. The highest accreditation that can be achieved. NZ operation
- Preferred Contractor status for Rio Tinto mining sites, Category 3-accreditation
- Lean six sigma- Continuous improvement program. ANZ operation
- ISO 9001 certified. China operation
All onsite contractors must complete "Contractor Health and Safety Requirements and Information Form" and provide the information required prior to commencing work at any of Scott's sites. Upon arrival to site you will be inducted by site H&S personnel.
Your name will be added to the approved contractors list and will be subject to annual assessment to ensure hazards and risks are identified, eliminated or minimized.
